General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA)18
Due to the incoming General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which come into force on the 25th May 2018 we need to inform you of what data we collect and how the data is stored and handled. This will ensure that we are compliant with the new regulations.
In order to provide our services we need to collect some/all of the following information:
- Contact phone numbers
- Contact e-mail addresses
- Bank account details to issue refunds
This data is collected by the Caravan Park Owners (the Data Controllers) from incoming enquiries for overnight pitches and subsequent correspondence e-mails. The data is stored physically in a locked cabinet and on our secure computer systems. Your information is used for direct contact purposes only. Your data will not be shared or transmitted to other parties.
For overnight enquiries your data will be held until the end of the season in which the overnight booking is made.
At the end of the data holding period your information will be destroyed securely within 3 months of that end date.
Any bank account information collected for the purpose of issuing a refund will be deleted within one week following a successful transaction.
You have the right to review your personal information by contacting the Data Controllers by phone or e-mail.
